In the name of God Amen. I John Wrawlings [sic] of the county of Shenandoah and the state of Virginia being in my right mind and know that I must go the way of all the world that it is my duty to put my house in order and after giving up my soul to the Almighty God who gave it in hopes he will pardon all my sins for Christ's sake and my body to the dust from whence it came and after all my just debts are paid with all my personal expenses, I do bequeath to my beloved Sarah Wrawlings for and in consideration of her good account to me as a loving wife and all my property to do as she pleases with in life and at her death unto which I make sole keep given from under my hand and seal this fifth day of April in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred fifteen.
