The parasitic cestode known as Taenia solium, commonly called the pork tapeworm, infects the small intestine of its human host. Male fern (Dryopteris filix-mas ) is a perennial wood fern that is widely distributed and indigenous to Europe, Asia, North America, and South America. It is the source of aspidium, an oleoresin with anthelmintic properties, specifically a taenifuge.
