Tabularium
The Tabularium of Senex Caecilius

I keep the family accounts (tabulae) and the portraits of our ancestors (imagines) in my study (tablinum) along with a copy of my will (testamentum). However, all public records of every sort are kept in the public records office (tabularium) that was built on the slopes of the Capitoline Hill during the dictatorship of Sulla (81-79 BC).

Wills are kept by the Vestal Virgins.
