A CONTEST WITH A$ CASH PRIZES! I propose a month-long contest to promote the writing of double-dactyls at the Tenth Muse; I offer a first-place prize of 2,000 sesterces for the best entry. The rules for the contest are as follows: 1) Submit no more than two original, unpublished double-dactyls during the month of    October, 1998. 2) Limit the subjects of the poems to characters drawn from antiquity, historical or    mythological. 3) Adhere to the rules of the form as described by Pascal and Hecht and found at this    linked site.
