note: Her husband was born (1821) in Cooper County, MO. When Selena died, he married her sister Cynthia Marie Stapleton. John W. Wright enlisted in the Confederate Army on April 5, 1862. After his discharge, he established a freight line from Galveston, Houston, Columbus to San Antonio, Texas. He was robbed and murdered on one of those trips at a river crossing on the Colorado River. When his body was discovered, it was necessary to bury him where he was found.
