Owen sold the 150 acres on May 19, 1770, for 40 pounds. He died intestate. After his death, Sarah Brown Cravey married _?_ Jordan. She was the daughter of Thomas Brown.

note: Francis Ellinor wrote his will (July 13, 1769) in Edgecombe Co., NC. It was proved at the August Court 1769. He named his wife, Honour, and his sons William, Thomas, and Francis. He appointed friend Sherwood Haywood as executor and instructed him to manage the estate until his sons were of age. He specifically bequeathed a 100 acre plantation bought from George Wimberley on the north side of the Tar River to his son William, along with a 440 acre tract known as Cold Springs. Witnesses to the will were Jacob Dickinson, George Wimberley, and Daniel Woodard.
