The resources and tutorials on these pages serve two purposes: (1) To offer the student an opportunity to explore many of the topics and literary periods discussed during our classroom and online time, and (2) to offer the student whose literary skills and knowledge might not be current or as well-rounded as the student might wish they were. In addition, the writing center, designed as a resource for Palo Alto College students, offers a variety of grammar hotlines, rehtorical studies, and the online writing laboratories (OWLs) for the puropose of sharpening skills and acquainting students with the requirements of standard, written, formal English.
