The WebCT tutorial consists of a sequence of lessons which will guide you through the creation of a sample course. The tutorial topics are listed below, and should be completed in the order shown.

Specific Tools Addressed

Technology for Academic Learning Online

WebCT is an integrated set of tools or components for
developing and delivering interactive courses over the web.
WebCT can be used to create entire courses on-line, or to
create an environment to supplement learning already
occuring within the classroom. Because it is web-based, it
can easily be linked to existing learning resources
anywhere on the web. This is a fine resource with excellent tutorials.

Reference Editor

WebCT's Reference Editor allows you to associate your course content with external
references so that students can find supplementary information on the current topic. These
external references can be any of three types:

references to textbooks
references to articles
references to URLs

WebCT Features Report

I've outlined (below) the various features of WebCT, illustrated with the kinds of image/icons that are
available. (All images are available as either causal or formal, and can have imbedded text or no text,
enabling the designer to add their own labels to the image. Also, there are several features I did not
elaborate on here - for example, icons that help with navigation, or link to a tool that allows them to
change password
