This volume is an online version of the 1974 publication: 

Papers Concerning Robertson's Colony in Texas, Volume I, 1788-1822, The Texas Association, Compiled and Edited by Malcolm D. McLean, Texas Christian University Press, Fort Worth, Texas, 1974, pp. lxxi, 567. ISBN 0932-408-01-X.
The original publication is presented in its entirety (including notation of blank pages) as a succession of page images with the following exceptions. The Table of Contents and the Index have been retyped with HTML commands to provide access to the page images. Use of page images assures complete fidelity to the original printed version although they may take a few moments longer to load. The benefit for researchers is they can be assured no errors have crept in as part of putting the volume online.

HTML/Browser Level

This section documents some technical details of the design of this online Volume. The objective was to use HTML Level 3.2, but only a subset of the commands and tags as a compromise between HTML 3.2 features that are incompatible with older browsers and ones that significantly improve the appearance of online material. This volume should be compatible with Microsoft Internet Explorer 3.0 and Netscape Navigator 3.0, and should display acceptably on Netscape Navagator 2.0. By staying within the HTML 3.2 guidelines, these webpages should be compatible with future browsers.

This online volume uses Tables to better format text, but not Frames. Some <BR> and <P> tags have been added to the Tables so that the text will be readable, if not as presentable, on older browsers. FONT FACE = "Times New Roman" is being used although some browsers may not have the font installed. 

Page images are 1200-pixels wide to be readable on new and future higher resolution monitors. The page images are presented first half-size to fit current and older monitors. Click on "Zoom" to see the full image.
