John's parents, Malcolm and Margaret McLean, live in Georgetown, Texas and are recognized Texas historians (Robertson's Colony) and genealogists (McLean, Reed, Robertson, Rose, Stoner). Papers Concerning Robertson's Colony in Texas: Volume I, 1788 - 1822, The Texas Association, is completely reproduced here (567 pages) and is a treasure trove for Texas historians and genealogists. Marky Miles (Ellen's mother) is a retired printer and active, professional bookbinder and owner of Mission Bookbindery. She won honorable mention for her design in SMU's DeGolyer bookbinding competition and is a member of the Pinta crew. (markymiles@earthlink.net)

Douglas (son) went to the University of Texas, worked for American Airlines, and then left to travel for 18 months. His travels took him to Europe and South America. While traveling abroad he met the love of his life, his fiancee Luciana from Recife, Brazil. He wrote an detailed account of his travels which are titled "The Tales of The Texas Nomad."
