Thanks for taking the time to read these guidelines - they will assist the archivist in giving both writers and readers better and more prompt service.
The Aurora Journals accepts any and all stories based on The Secret Adventures of Jules Verne, including crossovers. All ratings are accepted, including NC-17 het and slash stories. Stories are archived as-is, meaning they will not be edited, spellchecked, beta read or otherwise changed before going up on the archive, except to format them for the site. It's the responsibility of individual authors to ensure the copy is clean. Please do not e-mail the archivist requesting beta reading, line-editing, plot advice, etc.
Stories posted to the SAJV, AuroraVernealis and saojVERNE-fic mailing lists on Yahoo! Groups are automatically archived at The Aurora Journals unless you request otherwise. A statement like "Ask me before archiving..." is assumed to be a request not to have the story automaticaly archived. If you posted your story to another list, such as SJJV, SJJVA or Secret-Slash, you will have to submit it to the archive in order for it to be included in The Aurora Journals.
Stories may be submitted in plain text, HTML or MS Word formats. You may send them as e-mail messages or e-mail attachments; if the files are large, they may be ZIPped. E-mail the archivist if you're not sure how to get the story into a compatible format.
You must include the following:
Author name (or nick)
Story title
Category (See Categories for more information)
Rating (G, PG-13, R or NC-17)
You may include specific content warnings (character death, slash, etc.) and/or a summary of your story and the URL for your own Web site, but those are optional.
Questions? E-mail the archivist.
