Chief Master Sergeant (CMSgt) Keith E. Jedele was born in Ann Arbor, Michigan.  He later moved to Oak Harbor, Washington, and graduated from Oak Harbor High in 1964.  While in high school CMSgt Jedele was named Bandsman of the Year for 1963 and was awarded a music scholarship.  He attended Skagit Valley Community College in Mount Vernon, Washington, from 1964-66 and received an Associate of Arts degree in music.  He then moved on to the University of Oregon in Eugene, Oregon, where he received a Bachelor of Music Degree.

In 1969 CMSgt Jedele joined the Air Force and after completion of Basic Military Training School was assigned to the 523rd Air Force Band, Hamilton Air Force Base, California.  Other assignments have included the Air Force Reserve Band, Robins AFB, Georgia, the Alaskan Air Command Band, Elmendorf AFB, Alaska,the Air Force Band of the East, McGuire AFB, New Jersey, the Air Force Band of the Pacific Northwest, McChord AFB, Washington, and the Air Education & Training Command Band, Lackland AFB, Texas.

CMSgt Jedele was the Band Manager for the United States Air Force Band of the Golden West and also performed on Clarinet in the Concert Band and was an alternate Drum Major for the Ceremonial/Marching Band.  He attended the Noncommissioned Officer Academy and the Senior Noncommissioned Officer Academy.  CMSgt Jedele has been awarded the Meritorious Service Medal with three oak leaf clusters, the Air Force Commendation Medal with two oak leaf clusters and the Air Force Achievement Medal with one oak leaf cluster.  He retired October 1, 1997 and lives with his with his wife, Donna in San Antonio, Texas.  Dana, their oldest, is a Registered Nurse (RN) in Texas and Tadd is a Captain in the Air Force flying C-141's at McChord AFB, Washington.  His daughter Kelly is a Senior and his son Kevin a permanent student at the University of Texas in Austin.  In his spare time, CMSgt Jedele performs in his churches bell choir, Computer Users Group and History Committee.  He also enjoys jogging, biking, Volksmarching and tennis.
