Rev. Don Ofsdahl
Rev. Don Ofsdahl began serving Zion Lutheran Church of Helotes as Interim Pastor on July 4, 1999. He had recently retired from St. Andrew's Lutheran Church at Canyon Lake, Texas where he had served as pastor for 12 years. Before that, he had served twenty-two years in the U.S. Air Force as chaplain, retiring with the rank of Colonel. Prior to his military career, he served congregations throughout the mid-west.
He and his wife Ardyce are from Wisconsin, and have known each other since childhood. They have four adult children, three sons and a daughter. Pastor Don brings to Zion a wealth of personal graciousness, pastoral skill, and love for the Lord and His Church.
Pastor Ofsdahl concluded his interim pastor service at Zion Lutheran Church of Helotes in May 2001.
