Pastor Gold's formal ministry began in 1996 when she served as the joint Youth Minister for Grace Lutheran and St. Christopher's Episcopal Churches in Bandera, Texas. While attending Trinity Lutheran Seminary, she spent a year working with the Dean of Worship as the Sacristan Coordinator, organizing teams to prepare and lead all worship services at the seminary. She also led liturgical practicums for first-year seminary students. She completed her chaplaincy program at Ohio State University Hospital. In 2001, Pastor Gold completed her internship at Messiah Lutheran Church in Reynoldsburg, Ohio.
Pastor Gold is from Aledo, Texas, a small town outside of Fort Worth, but her Texan roots stretch back to Fredericksburg, her father's hometown. She is maried to Christopher Gold whom she met while attending TLU.
