Marguerite Wilson Weiss

August 20, 1915 - December 18, 2002

Marguerite Wilson Weiss was born August 20, 1915, in Nixon, Texas, a town her family helped to build.  Her parents were Osceola Gerald and Margaret Glover Wilson.  Her brother was Osceola Wilson, Jr., or "Bro."

At the age of three months she was christened in the Nixon Methodist Church and at the age of 7 she joined the church.  She went to school in Nixon and graduated in 1933.

On July 6, 1940 she married Paul William Weiss.  They were married over 60 years, until his death.

She was very proud of her Texas heritage, and of her great-grandfatheer who fought in the Texas Revolution.

Marguerite's life with us came to an end on Wednesday, December 18, 2002.  We look forward to our resurrection day when all who believe will be reunited in Christ.

She is survived by one daughter, Mary Ellen and her husband, Gary Valentine; one grandaughter, Brook Valentine and one sister-in-law, Eleanor Gussie Ingersoll; numerous nieces and nephews and many friends.

Burial will be in the Zion Lutheran Cemetery.
