Cedalia Steubing Nickel Wehmeyer, age 83, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, June 30, 2004. She was born on November 10, 1920. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Frank A. Wehmeyer, Sr.; parents, Charles and Ella Nickel and a brother, Leroy Nickel. She was devoted to God and her family and will be dearly missed. She is survived by her son, Frank, Jr. and wife Suzanne; daughter, Sharon Draker and husband Billy; grandsons, Corey Wehmeyer and wife Jenny, Waylon Wehmeyer and Eric Wehmeyer; brothers Gerald Nickel and wife Helen Marie, Glen Nickel; sisters, Myrtle Nickel and Florine Nickel. Pallbearers are Corey, Waylon and Eric Wehmeyer, Curtis, Scott and Jody Nickel. Honorary Pallbeaeres are Phil and Walter Galm. Visitation will be on Friday, July 2, 2004 at Sunset Northwest Funeral Home on Bandera Road from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Funeral Service will be at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, July 3, 2004 at Zion Lutheran Church in Helotes, TX. Interment will follow at Zion Lutheran Cemetery in Helotes. Cedalia Wehmeyer was born November 10, 1920 in San Antonio, Texas. She was one of six children of ella (Steubing) & Charles Nickel. Cedalia was a life-long member of Zion Lutheran Church of Helotes, baptized her on August 14, 1921.
Cedalia's life with us came to an end on Wednesday, June 30, 2004. We look forward to our resurrection day when all who believe will be reunited in Christ.
