Melford H. (Sonny) Uhl, of San Antonio, Texas entered into rest Wednesday May 1, 1985 at the age of 65 years.  Mr. Uhl was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Helotes, Herman Sons Lodge No. 76 and Farmers Germannia Verrien.  Mr. Uhl is survived by his wife Lucille Uhl, daughters and sons-in-law; Karen and John Botter, Darlene (Dolly) and Jimmy Weyick(sp?) and Marlene (Molly) and Bob Day, sisters Mrs. Ruby Rucker, sister and brother-in-law Viola (Cullin) Irby of Corpus Christi, Texas, plus numerous nieces, nephews and seven grandchildren.  Funeral services will be 3:00 p.m. Friday May 3rd at Zion Lutheran Church in rural Helotes, with Rev. Gordon Kuenemann officiating with interment to follow at Zion Lutheran Cemetery.  The family will greet friends and relatives at Oak Hills Mortuary Thursday May 2nd from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. and Mr. Uhl will lie in state from 2:00 pm.
