TSCHIRHART

Ethel Helen Steubing Tschirhart, age 78, of Castroville, TX, passed way on Feb. 17, 2008.  She was born Jan. 25, 1930 in Bexar County, TX.  Ethel and her husband were owners and operators of Castorville Cleaners for many, many years.  She was a member of St. Louis Catholic Church, St. Anns's Society, American Legion Post #460 Auxillary, VFW Post #8134 Auxilliary and Hermann Sons Lodge #71.  Preceding her in death are her parents, Dallas J. and Helen Mary Bush Steubing; brothers, Claude Steubing; sister, Ida Marie Haby; brothers-in-law & sisters-in-law, Howard & Florence Tschirhart, Clarence Tschirhart, Herman Tschirhart, Sylvan Tschirhart, Alvin & Elsie Tschirhart, Clarence & Alma Holzhaus, Florence Haby, Oran and Corine Mann, infant sister-in-law, Anna Maria Tschirhart.  Survivors include her loving husband of over 60 years, Marion H. "Billy" Tschirhart of Castroville; son Clyde W. Tschirhart of Hondo; daughter and son-in-law, Patricia Ann and Russell Wise of Arlington; grandchildren & spouses, Angela and Ronnie Cates, Troy and Lisa Wise, Charles and Christine Tschirhart, and Jennifer and Andrew Siefkin; great-grandchildren, Rhett Cates, Jordan Cates, Peyton Merritt, Grayson Wise, Cullen Harris, and twins, William Andrew & Marcus Siefkin; brothers and sister-in-law George and Cheryl Steubing, and Marvin Steubing all of San Antonio; brothers-in-law, Wilfred Haby, Jr. of San Antonio, Milton Haby of Hondo; sisters-in-law, Vera Steubing of Dunlay, Florence Tschirhart and Mattie Tschirhart both of Castroville; and numerous nieces, nephews and relatives.  Visitation will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2008 from 12:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. at the Tondre-Guinn Funeral Home.  Funeral Mass will be Tuesday, Feb. 19 at 7:00 p.m. at St. Louis Church, Castroville.  Rosary will be Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2008 at 11:45 a.m. at Tondre-Guinn Funeral Home, Castroville.  Interment will follow the rosary at 1:45 p.m. at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery.  Memorials may be made in her memory to either the American Legion Post #460 Scholarship Fund or to Median Valley EMS.
