Wilma Jean Wehmeyer Tabor

January 6, 1940 - February 15, 2008

Wilma was born on January 6, 1940 in Sinton, Texas. On July 21, 1962 at the age of 23, she married M. Leroy Tabor and they shared a marriage of 45 years. Completing their family were two children, Steven Tabor and Sheryl Burce.

Wilma retired from Southwestern Bell after 23 years of employment. She spent her spare time traveling, camping and being around family. She worked for several years at our Kids of the Kindom Day School, having a great time just rocking the babies; that is, until she had grandchildren of her own.

She is described as sweet, shy and someone who always had a compliment for someone else.

Wilma struggled with health issues most of her life, having had numerous surgeries. Her life with us came to an end last Friday. We look forward to our resurrection day when all who believe will be reunited in Christ.

She is survived by her husband M. Leroy Tabor; daughter Sheryl Bruce and husband Skip; son Steven and wife Jennifer; sister Linda Spears and husband Freddie; brother Roy Allen Rose; four grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
