SEEWALD

Ella Schlather Seewald, born August 30, 1912 in Bulverde, TX passed away Sunday, February 7, 1999 in San Antoio, TX at the age of 86.  She was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Carl Seewald and one brother, Hilmar Schlather.  She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Carolyn and Eugene Langner, Wilma and Edward Schulze; son and daughter-in-law, Elton and Rosemary Seewald; grandchildren, Troy Seewald, Darleen (Kenneth) Taylor, Cara (Adam) Mika, Wade (Stephanie) Langner, Melissa Langner, Lance (Tina) Schulze and Rochelle (James) Roberts; great-grandchildren, Aaron, Brok, Ashlyn and Carly; sister, Vera Mae Vogel; and brothers, Walter and James Schlather, all of New Braunfels, TX.  Visitation will be 5:00 - 8:00 P.M., Tuesday, February 9, 1999 at Zizik-Kearns Funeral Home.  Funeral Service will be 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, February 10, 1999 at Zion Lutheran Church of Helotes.  Interment will follow in the Zion Lutheran Cemetery.

Ella Seewald was born August 30, 1912, the second child of Emma (Ludwig) and Alfred L. Schlather in Bulverde TX.  She was baptized on May 25, 1949 at Zion Lutheran Church of Helotes.

She married Carl Seewald on October 17, 1942.  Ella and Carl's life were blessed with three children, Elton, Carolyn and Wilma.  Carl and Ella spent their years together mostly farming and ranching in Northwest Bexar County.  Ella raised children, grandchildren, crops and chickens.  Carl died in 1986 after 44 years of marriage.

Ella was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Hilmar, and her husband Carl.  She is survived by her children, Elton Seewald and his wife, Rosemary; Carolyn Langner and her husband, Eugene; and Wilma Schulze and her husband, Edward, seven grandchildren, four great-grandchildren (with twins expected in April (1999)), her sister, Vera Mae Vogel and brothers Walter & James Schlather, Aunt Elsie Ludwig, six nephews and two nieces.
