Our beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Verda Mae Toepperwein Pue, went to be with our Lord on Wednesday, March 23, 2005 at the age of 74.  She was the youngest child of Rudolph and Alma Toepperwein.  She was born in Boerne, May 18, 1930.  She was preceded in death by her husband of 34 years, Arthur Joseph Pue Sr. and grandson James Allen Pue.  She is survived by two daughters, Sandra and her husband Frank Walsh, Sharon and her husband Fritz Pittman, Two sons, Arthur J. Pue Jr. and wife Nancy (Van Hecke), William Daniel Pue; Two brothers, Clifton Toepperwein and wife Georgia, Marion Toepperwein and wife Marilyn; 12 grandchildren; Kristina Walsh Hartung married to Tom, Don Walsh married to Angela (Yeates); Jeremy Pue, Nicholas Pue, Ryan Pue, Amy Pue Sellers married to James, Danny Pue, Michael Pue, Katy Pue, Amanda Pittman, Paul Pittman, Corrie Pittman; 6 great-grandchildren; Cole Hartung, Josh Hartung, Noah Hartung, Kathryn Hartung, Clayton Sellers and Austin Sellers.  Verda Mae Pue was married to Arthur Joseph Pue November 10, 1950.  They bought a small farm just outside of San Antonio where she lived until she died.  She belonged to the Kearney Lake Home Demonstration Club and was a charter member of the Young Homemakers Club of America.  She was a Charter Member of the Rector Memorial United Methodist Church, May 12, 1957.  The church has always been her mainstay through her life.  In 1966-67 She started substitute teaching in Southwest Independent School District, and retired in 1998 after 30 years of service.  Visitation will be held Saturday, March 26, 2005, at Roy Akers Funeral Home from noon to 5 p.m.  On Monday, March 28, 2005, visitation at Rector Memorial United Methodist Church from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m., funeral services at 10:00 a.m. with internment following in the Boerne Cemetery, in Boerne TX.  Roy Akers Funeral Home.
