STEUBING-PERKINS

Edna Frances Steubing Perkins entered peacefully into Heaven Friday, November 30, 2007 surrounded by her loved ones.  Her heart was full of love for her family and her generosity was unsurpassed.  Edna was born August 21, 1926 in the Culebra Community of Bexar County.  She was the daughter of one of the pioneering German families of that area.  She was preceded in death by her husband Cecil Perkins; her parents, Walter and Edna (Wehmeyer) Steubing; sisters, Etta Watts and Anita Morgan and a brother Ruben Steubing.  Left to mourn her loss are her children Dorothy (Max) Smith, Margaret (J. E.) Smith and Cecil (Louann) Perkins, Jr.; grandchildren, Donna Kowalik, Melissa Fernandez, Stacie Mitchell, Pam Simpson, Patty Leyendecker, Richard Leyendecker, Stephanie Perkins, Alison Perkins, Cecil Perkins III, David Perkins; 19 great-grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren; 5 newphews, 6 nieces; several dear cousins and numerous friends.

SERVICES
Visitation will be held Monday, December 3, 2007 from 6 PM to 8 PM at Oak Hills Mortuary.  A funeral service will be held Tuesday, December 4, 2007 at 2 PM at Oak Hills Mortuary.  Edna will be laid to rest at Zion Lutheran Cemetery in Helotes, Texas.  Services will be ministered by Edwina R. Baethge of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church.  Oak Hills Mortuary.
