Lorraine Palmieri went to be with her Lord on October 16, 2005, at the age of 86. Lorraine was born in San Antonio, Texas, on September 6, 1919, to "Charlie" and Veta Wood Lacey. She was a life-long resident of San Antonio and was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, Anthony "Tony" Palmieri, and her brotheer Larry Lacey. She is surrived by her two sons, Roanld Palmieri and wife Nancy, Gary palmieri and wife Cherry, grandchildren Leah Fasone and husband Jason, Cara Palmieri, Lacey Yancey and husband Kelly, Tony Palmieri, and great grandchildren Cailin and Carson Fasone. She is also survived by her brotheer Jack Lacey. Lorraine was a devoted mother and grandmother who put family first and was a talented seamstress and wonderful cook. She and her husband "Tony" enjoyed dancing and frequently danced with many relatives and friends at local and area dance halls. Lorraine was also the first hostess to work for the original "Handy Andy" grocery stores and worked many years greeting and assisting shoppers. She also served as one of the original ambassadors for Secure Horizons. A visitation will be held 5-9:00 P.M., Wednesday, October 19, 2005 with a 7:00 P.M. Rosary at Sunset Northwest Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral mass will be celebrated 10:00 A.M., Thursday, October 20, 2005, at San Francesco di Paola Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Zion Lutheran Cemetery in Helotes, TX. Sunset Northwest Funeral Home.
