MANGOLD

Ruby Vollmer Mangold, 97, born Jan. 1, 1910 to Edna and Oscar Wood in Helotes, TX, died Saturday, Dec. 29, 2007, at Morningside Manor where she has resided the past 5 1/2 years.  She was preceded in death by her parents, infant sister, Gladys, sister Winifred Hoffman, and husbands Clarence Vollmer and Hangs Mangold.  She is survived by her sister, Lucile Dugosh Bigley; sons and daughter in-law: Vernon and Jane Volmer; and G.C. "Bubba" Vollmer; 8 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandson.  Ruby enjoyed her years of employment at the San Antonio Fire Dept., San Antonio Police Dept, and volunteer work with the Bexar Co. Probation Dept.  She will be remembered fondly as the life of the party and always ready to have fun.  The family is thankful for the loving care provided by the staff of Morningside Manor and VITAS Hospice.  Visitation will be at 9:00 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m., Wed., Jan. 2, 2008 at Blessed Sacrament Church, 600 Oblate.
