Adeline Elmira Harmon Lindblom

July 15, 1915 - August 13, 2004

Adeline Lindblom passed away on August 13, 2004, at the age of 89.  She was born to Jenny & Benny Harmon on July 15, 1915 in Northwood, Iowa.

Adeline's love for God and music is what inspired her to serve as organist and pianist for many years at her home church, Ascension Lutheran in Danville, Virginia.  She was also active in the choir and traveled with the church quartet.

Adeline had the joy of working with Frances Spencer, the designer of the Chrismon Tree, which originated at Ascension Lutheran.  Adeline brought her talent with her to Texas, and she made several of the Chrismons for Zion's sanctuary Christmas tree.

A member of Zion for nearly ten years, Adeline was an active member of the Dorcas Circle.

Adeline's early career was with AT&T telephone services.  Later in life, her hobbies included playing cards and games, doing puzzles, reading and spending time with her family.

Burial will take place in Virginia on September 12 following a memorial service at Ascension Lutheran Church.

Adeline was preceded in death by her parents, husband Andrew Lewis Lindblom, and daughter Marlene Koerner.  She is survived by her daughter Algine Perry and husband Jim; son-in-law Bob Koerner; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
