John Lang Dies At 69

John D. Lang of the Beverly Hills subdivision died on New year's Day and was buried on Monday, Jan. 4, in Zion Lutheran Cemetery after services at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic church.  John was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Church.  Survivors include his wife, Loretta; a son, Peter William Lang of San Pablo, Calif.; a grandson, Philip Thomas Lang; a daughter, Elizabeth Leigh Lang; and two stepsons, Theron and Joseph Bambeck of Helotes.  Mr. Lang had been released from the hospital the morning of his death and sent home to recuperate.  He died unexpectedly two hours fter reaching home.  The pallbearers were Richard and Ronald Baker, Donald Gorden, Bryant Rinehart, Bill Crawford, C.J. Lampman, Robert J. Faulkner, and Richard Kitch.  Mr. Lang had served in the military for 12 years, and for that reason his casket was draped with an American flag.  He was a member of the German Culture Club and a former member of the Leon Valley Grange.  Mrs. Lang expressed her thanks to the entire community for their sympathy and help during the rosary Sunday night and the funeral Monday.
