LANE

Minnie Greenwalt Lane

September 23, 1911 - November 24, 2004

Minnie G. Lane passed away on November 24, 2004, at the age of 93.  She was the oldest of three daughters born to Maude (Dodson) & Noah Greenwalt on September 23, 1911 in Austin, Texas.  She was baptized into Christ's family on March 1, 1930 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Taylor, Texas.

Minnie grew up riding her horse along Colorado river bottoms.  She and her sister rode their horse to school taking along their lunches in syrup buckets.

She loved to dance so it is no surprise that is where she met her future husband, Carl Lane.  They were married on December 10, 1963.  In 1967 Carl and Minnie became members here at Zion Lutheran Church.

Before marrying Carl, she worked for Parker's Pharmacy.  Afterwards Minnie became a full time homemaker taking care of her sons, sewing, and baking.  She could make fantastic peach and dewberry cobblers.

Minnie's life with us came to an end on Wednesday, November 24, 2004.  We look forward to our resurrection day when all who believe will be reunited in Christ.

She was preceded in death by her husband Carl Lane and son John Brinkmeyer.  She is survived by sons Norman and wife Karen and Roy and wife Pearl Lee; grandsons Kevin and Gregory; grandaughter Robin; and three great-grandsons.
