KEMPF

Bernice Braun Kempf, born January 3, 1919, went home to the Lord May 9, 1998 after a lengthy illness.  Bernice was a member of a pioneer Texas family from the Helotes area.  Bernice was married in 1939 to Ernest Leo Kempf who precede her in death.  She was also preceded in death by her mother, Otilia Weimer Braun; her father, Fritz Braun and her brother, Henry Braun.  Survivors include beloved son and daughter-in-law, Fred and Sharon Kempf; brother, Burton Braun; grandson, Garrett Kempf and wife Lauren; granddaughter, Shelly Urbany and husband Lou; great-grandchildren, Kenedy Claire and Cooper Austin the light of her life.  Visitation will begin Monday, May 11, 1998 at 6-9 P.M. at Sunset Northwest Funeral Home, 6321 Bandera Road.  Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 A.M., Tuesday, May 12, 1998 at Zion Lutheran Church of Helotes, 9944 Leslie Road.  Interment will follow in Zion Lutheran Cemetery of Helotes.  Those who desire may make memorial contributions to Make-A-Wish Foundation of Central Texas, 2224 Walsh Tarlton Lane, Ste. 200, Austin, TX 78746.
