Henry Jonas, 82 of San Antonio, died June 11 at Southwest Methodist Hospital. A native of Comal County, he was born March 15, 1889, the son of Albert and Sophie Shorn Jonas. In 1910, he married Martha Seiler. He was a member of Zion's Lutheran Church of Helotes and the Hermann Sons Lodge. Survivors are his widow; a son, Roland Jonas Sr.; two daughters, Mrs. Ernest (Helen) Lieck and Mrs. Delroy (Delrose) Finck; seven grandchildren, five great-grandchildrern; five sisters, Mrs. Clara Tausch, Mrs. John Koenig, Mrs. Charles Barth, Mrs. Helen Steubing, and Mrs. Walter Haese; a brother Charles Bees. Funeral service was conducted June 13 at Zion's Lutheran Church by the Rev. C. L. Bohls and interment was in the church cemetery. Pallbearers were grandsons Roy Lieck, Fred Ewert, Roger Finck, Roland Jonas Jr., Roy Bigler, and Russel Finck.
