Edna C. Boenig Gass, age 90, of Helotes, TX area passed away October 5, 1996 in Castroville, TX.  She was born July 23, 1906 to her parents Robert and Sophie Wolfshohl Boenig in Comal County, TX.  She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Otto E. Gass, son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Dorothy Gass, and son, James Gass.  She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Gilbert and Dorothy Gass of Somerset, TX, Oscar and Catherine Gass, David and Barbara Gass, and daughters and sons-in-law, Linda Becker and Lillie and Bob Wells all of San Antonio, TX, and Stella and Ernest Elsworth of Comfort, TX; 19 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren.  Also by sisters, Laura Waltisperger of La Vernia, TX, Gertrude Gebhardt of Comfort, TX, and Elfrieda Korb of San Antonio, TX.  Visitation: Monday, October 7, 1996, 3:30 P.M. to 8:30 P.M. at the Tondre-Guinn Funeral Home.  Funeral service will be Tuesday, October 8, 1996 10 A.M. at the Zion Lutheran Church in Castroville, TX.  Interment will follow the service at the Zion Lutheran Cemetery in Helotes, TX.
