Jerry Neal Eckert, born in Fredricksburg, TX on June 7, 1956, went to be with the Lord on July 14, 1999 at the age of 43 years.  He had been a resident of San Antonio, TX for 41 years and prior to moving here he was a resident of Fredericksburg, TX.  Mr. Eckert was a manager for Frontier Enterprises (Jim's) Restaurant and was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church.  He is survived by his loving wife, Penny Eckert; mother and father, Marvin and Minnie Eckert; grandparents, Charles Schurl and Ida Wilkens; two daughters, Crystal Saragoza and Julie Eckert; two sons, Frank Saragoza and Jerry Eckert; two sisters, Gale Combs and Brenda Eckert; one brother, Dennis Eckert and wife Sherry; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.
