
Elizabeth Steubing Draker, age 88, passed away Saturday, March 13, 2004, in San Antonio, TX. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ludwig and Rosanna Wells Steubing; husband, George William (Bill) Draker and her sister and husband, Sylvia and Earl Moore. Elizabeth was a Brackenridge High Alumni of 1933, Member of Zion Lutheran Church of Helotes, member of NARVRE organization and St. Bridget Senior Group. She is survived by her sons, William J. Draker and wife Sharon, Richard L. Draker and wife Gene; daughters, Carol R. Thompson and husband Don, Eva Moore and husband Paul; grandsons, Brent S. Draker, Wesley J. Draker, Walter J. Draker; granddaughters, Gena L. Chernak and husband Andrew, Dodie L. Erickson and husband Dennis, Julie A. Lally and husband Jim, Leticia D. Draker; great-grandchildren, Gena Elizabeth, Kathryn Grace, and Aubrey Chernak, Brooke, Bryce, and Nicolas Erickson, Amber Lynn Lally, William Marx and Selby Breanna Draker; sister, Joanna McBee; nieces, nephews and faithful companion, Guy; honorary children, Reagan Smith and Barbara Baldwin. Visitation will be on Monday, March 15, 2004, from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Sunset Northwest Funeral Home on Bandera Road. A Funeral Service will be conducted at 11:00 A.M., Tuesday, March 16, 2004, at Zion Lutheran Church of Helotes, TX with Internment to follow at Zion Lutheran Cemetery. Sunset Northwest Funeral Home.

As an infant she moved to San Antonio where she graduated from Brackenridge high School in 1933. On November 5, 1938, she married George William Draker. Mousie and Bill had three children and later one adopted daughter. For many years she was a very valued employee as the bookkeeper with The Quincy Lee Company.
She always gave unconditional love to her family and many others and took great delight sharing the lives of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She had a wonderful sense of humor and spontaneity. She enjoyed reading, writing poetry, nature, travel, adventure, exploring, and crossword puzzles.
She was preceded in death by her husband Bill and sister and brother-in-law Jackie and Earl Moore. She is survived by sons William J. and wife Sharon, Richard L. and wife Gene; daughters Carol R. Thompson and husband Don, and Eva Moore and husband Paul. In addition, she is survived by seven grandchildren: Dodie Erickson, Wesley and Walter Draker, Gena Chernak, Brent Draker, Julie Lally, and Letty Draker; four adopted grandchildren: Laurie Gillman, Theresa, John and David Moore; nine great-grandchildren; eight adopted great-grandchildren; sister Joanna (Pete); sister-in-law Mary; brother-in-law John; numerous nieces and nephews, and her faithful companion Guy.
