
Mildred Clarissa (Marcyes)Braun went home with the Lord, November 13, 2002 at the age of 84. She was born May 18, 1918 in Lavina, MT, the daughter of Ervie E. and Evelyn C. (Wheat) Marcyes. Mildred was a beautician for many years, a member of Zion Lutheran Church of Helotes, and a faithful member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Harlandale Chapter No. 750 for more than 50 years. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 46 years, Felix E. Braun; two brothers and four sisters. Survivors include her daughter, Evelyn Carolan; sons, Daniel and Ervie Braun; 13 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, one brother and five sisters. Visitation will be 4:00-8:00 P.M., Friday, November 15, 2002 at Sunset Northwest Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, November 16, 2002 at the Zion Lutheran Church of Helotes with the Revs. Jennifer Gold and Don Ofsdahl officiating. Honorary Pallbearers will be her brother, Robert Marcyes and her cousin, Bob Marcyes. Pallbearers will be Russell Carolan, Michael Gass, Carl Gass, Daniel Carolan, Michael Gass, Jr. and Casey Gass. Interment will be in Zion Lutheran Cemetery. Eastern Star Graveside Rites are under the auspices of Harlandale Chapter No. 750, O.E.S. Mildred Braun was born on May 18, 1918 in Lavina, Montana, the first of twelve children born to Ervie E. and Evelyn C. (Wheat) Marcyes. She was baptized into our Lord on November 1, 1918. She has been a member of Zion Lutheran Church since November 1954.
She married Felix E. Braun on September 11, 1937 in San Antonio, Texas where they raised three children, two sons and a daughter.
Mildred worked for many years as a beautician. She was also a faithful member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Harlandale Chapter #750 for over 50 years.
Mildred's life with us came to an end on Wednesday, November 13, 2002. We look forward to our resurrection day when all who believe will be reunited in Christ.
