BRAUN

Mrs. Loraine Louise Meogelin Braun died Saturday, May 14, 1994.  She was born in San Antonio, Texas on August 9, 1909 to William Henry Moegelin and Elizabeth Remling Moegelin and baptized at St. Ann's Catholic Church on December 24, 1922 by Father Nichol.  On January 10, 1933 she married William Fritz Braun of Helotes, Texas.  She was confirmed in St. John Lutheran Church on July 12, 1938.  They transferred their membership to Zion Lutheran Church of Helotes in 1951 where she served actively in the Ladies Aid Society and the Alter Guild for many years.  Loraine is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, William Braun and two devoted daughters; Gay M. Phillips and husband William M. Phillips and Betty J. Evans and husband Dalton Evans, and the following loving grandchildren, Lara L. Box and son-in-law, Carlisle W. Box, Lindsey R. Evans, Kristen M. Phillips, Derek W. Phillips and great-grandson, Christopher Box.  She was preceded in death by her sister, Mildred Strosser and is survived by her remaining sister, Lucille Green and many nieces and nephews.  A prayer service will be held at Sunset Northwest Funeral Home at 6331 Bandera Rd. on Monday, May 16, 1994 at 7:00 P.M.  The funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 17, 1994 at 10 A.M. at Zion Lutheran church of Helotes with Pastors Peter Manfred and Scott Sorenson officiating and interment will follow in Zion Lutheran Church of Helotes Cemetery No. 2.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Restoration of Church Fund at Zion Lutheran Church of Helotes, 9944 Leslie Rd., San Antonio, TX 78254.  Loraine was a loving wife and devoted to her family and friends.  Her family was her life and her last wish was that God bless them and keep them in a christian life always.
