Felix E. Braun, age 83 died Sunday, February 6, 1983.  He was a lifetime resident of San Antonio.  He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Helotes, Texas, and a member of the Helotes Lodge AF & AM, Helotes Lodge 76, Sons of Hermann, Grotto and the Farm Bureau.  He is survived by his wife, Mildred C. Braun; daughters, Joyce Teachenor of Arleta, California nd Evelyn C. Carolan of San Antonio; sons, Rev. Ervie Braun of Hondo, Texas and Daniel T. Braun of San Antonio; sisters, Sabina Sturm, Thusnelda Wendt, Netti Morrow and Amanda Ott, all of San Antonio; brother, William Braun of San Antonio; 18 grandchildren and five great grandchildren.  Services will be held at Sunset Funeral Chapel at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 8, 1983, with Rev. James Heineke officiating.  Interment will follow at Zion Lutheran Cemetery in Helotes, Texas..

Felix Braun Dies At Age 83

Felix E. Braun, a lifetime resident of the Helotes area and member of a pioneer family here, died February 6, 1983 at the age of 83.

He was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church of Helotes and was active in real estate until his retirement.  He was a member of the Helotes Lodge AF & AM, and Helotes Lodge 76, Sons of Hermann, Grotto and the Farm Bureau.

Mr. Braun is survived by his wife, Mildred C. Braun.  He is also survived by daughters, Joyce Teachenor of Arleta, California, and Evelyn C. Carolan of San Antonio; and sons, Rev. Ervie Braun of Hondo, Texas and Daniel T. Braun of San Antonio.

He also leaves sisters Sabina Sturm, Thusnelda Wendt, Netti Morrow, and Amanda Ott; and a brother, William Braun.  He is survived by 18 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Services were held February 8 at Sunset Funeral Chapel with Rev. James Heineke officiating.  Interment was at Zion Lutheran Church of Helotes.

Mr. Braun was an active citizrn of this community for many decades and helped shape the groth of the area.  Sympathy is extended to all who will miss him.
