Jim Boylan was born October 3, 1931, and entered into rest March 6, 2002, at the age of 70 years. Jim served over 20 years in the U.S. Air Force, many of those years as a Drill Sergeant. He volunteered for service in Vietnam, going there in 1969. Following his retirement from the Air Force, Jim worked 10 years at Kelly AFB. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Helotes, TX. Jim was preceded in death by his first wife, Katie and a stepson, Phillip Johnston. Survivors include his wife, Anna; children, Judy Carstens and husband John, Jim Boylan, Jr. and wife Shirley, and Bill Boylan and wife Cindy; grandchildren, Johnny, Kristen, Crystal, Kelly, Kacie, Steven, Michael, Whitney and Jamie; brother, Edward Boylan and wife Nancy; nieces and nephew, Linda, Brenda and Mike. Visitation will be 6:00-9:00 P.M., Friday, March 8, 2002 at the funeral home. The Funeral Service will be 1:00 P.M., Saturday, March 9, 2002, at Sunset Northwest Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be in Pine Bank Cemetery in Cheshire, NY at a later date.
