Ruby Gass Benke, age 72, passed away Friday, March 9, 2001.  Mrs. Benke was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur E. Benke.  She is survived by sons and daughters-in-law, Carroll Wayne and Karla Benke, Ronald and Cyndy Malone Benke, Stephen and Elizabeth Benke; daughter, Arlene Benke Smith and husband Kenneth Michael; grandchildren, Carolyn Tschirhart and husband Walter, Shelia, Jakob, Katlynne, Jason, Michael, Ryan and Brandon Benke, Candy Ruiz, Sandy, Christopher, and Alexandra Smith; great-grandchildren, Westin A. Tschirhart, Michael and Chloe Ruiz; brother, Karl S. Gass and wife Corrine; sister, Laura Weidner; sister-in-law, Helen Gass; numerous nieces and nephews.  A Visitation will be held 7:00 - 9:00 P.M., Sunday, March 11, 2001 at Sunset Northwest Funeral Home.  Funeral Services will be conducted 2:00 P.M., Monday, March 12, 2001 at Zion Lutheran church of Helotes.  Interment will follow at Zion Lutheran Cemetery.
