Alex J. Benke died at his residence, 720 Stonewall St., Saturday, aged 82 years.  He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Elizabeth Benke of Helotes; four sons, Theo, Sam, George and Ralph, all of San Antonio and one daughter, Mrs. Dora Hegler, of Castroville and 12 grandchildren.  Funeral Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Lutheran Church at Helotes, Rev. W. T. Weiss officiating, directions of the Southside Funeral Home 5319 S. Flores St. in Harlandale.
