How to filter mail using Mozilla. The following document will show you how to filer mail in conjunction with our SPAM filter using the SPAM tagging feature. 1. Start Mozilla. 2. From the Window menu, select Mail & Newsgroups. 3. From the File menu, select New, and then select Folder. 4. In the Name text box, type: JunkMail 5. Click OK. 6. From the Tools menu, select Message Filters. 7. Click the New button. 8. In the Filter Name text box, type: X-Spam-Flag 9. Define the filter criteria. Under For Incoming Messages That, there are two option buttons, two drop-down lists, and one text box. A. Select the 'Match Any of the Following' option. B. From the first drop-down list, select Customize. C. In the New Message Header text box, type: X-Spam-Flag D. Click the Add button. E. Click OK. F. Click on the first drop-down list again, and select the X-Spam-Flag option(the rule we just created). G. From the second drop-down list, select Contains. H. In the text box, type: YES J. Click OK. ## Choose the action to perform. 1. Under Perform These Actions, place a check in the Move to Folder check box. 2. From the first drop-down list, select your account, select Inbox, and then select JunkMail. # Click OK. # Close all Mozilla windows that you have open # Restart Mozilla for the changes to take effect. After you have created this rule, any thing our spam filter catches and 'tags' will be filtered to the folder called 'JunkMail' that you created at the beginning of this document. You can then empty that folder at your discretion, after checking the contents.
