How to filter mail using Eudora Here is how to filer mail using Eudora, in conjunction with our SPAM filter using the SPAM tagging feature. NOTE: The Eudora software runs in several different 'modes', including, 'full', 'adware', and 'light'. The spam filtering options may not be available in all versions. If you encounter difficulty with this procedure, you will need to contact the authors of the software for further assistance. 1. Start Eudora. 2. From the Mailbox menu, select New. 3. Name the new mailbox: * In Windows, in the 'Name the New Mailbox' text box, type: Junkmail * In Mac OS, in the 'Please Name the New Mailbox' text box, type: Junkmail 4. Click OK. 5. From the Tools menu, select Filters. 6. Click the New button. 7. In the first Header text box select 'Any Header' 8. From the drop-down list below the first Header text box, select 'contains'. 9. In the box alongside, enter 'X-Spam-Status: Yes' 10. Under Action, from the first drop-down list, select Transfer To. 11. Direct the filter to transfer messages to the Junkmail mailbox: * In Windows: A. Click the large In button that appears. B. Select Junkmail. * In Mac OS: A. Click the button next to Transfer To. B. From the Transfer menu, select Junkmail. 12. Close the Filter window. 13. Click the Yes button. After you have created this rule, any thing our spam filter catches and 'tags' will be filtered to the folder called 'JunkMail' that you created at the beginning of this document. You can then empty that folder at your discretion, after checking the contents.
