He is the older son of Thomas Royal Stoner and Mamie Victoria (Stoner) Stoner. Mary Rachel Stoner changed her name to Mamie Victoria Stoner, at the insistence of her uncle, Victor Marion Rose. However, she was later called "Mamie" or "Mame" by her family and friends. All the entries are in the handwriting of Mamie Victoria Stoner, except some of the entries under "Deaths," which were written by Margaret Stoner McLean, daughter of Thomas Royal Stoner and Mamie Victoria Stoner.]
